KALINGA

This Resort collection is inspired by the ancient tattooing tradition of the Kalinga people of the Philippines. Design details such as pointelle knit panels and lace-up bodices are influenced by motifs within Kalinga warrior tattoos, while a digital print features rice terraces which represent the livelihood of the Kalinga people. This collection explores the idea of keeping alive a tradition in which beauty and respect are earned through pain.
